How to find us
Glenorchy is 40 minutes' scenic lakeside drive from Queenstown – one of the most beautiful drives in New Zealand!
The Headwaters Eco Lodge is located in the heart of the rural township of Glenorchy, nestled between two stunning mountain ranges, a glacier-clad peak, and two rivers – the Dart and the Rees – which braid together at Glenorchy to form the headwaters of Lake Whakatipu.

HOW TO FIND US
Directions
By plane:
The closest airport to Glenorchy is the Queenstown Airport (ZQN), located just minutes outside the CBD. There is also a small landing field just outside the Glenorchy township, ideal for heli or private charter landings.
By land:
Whether you are flying to Queenstown or on a road trip around New Zealand’s South Island, the only road access to Glenorchy is through the Glenorchy-Queenstown Road. This stunning drive takes about 40 minutes from Queenstown or 55 minutes from Queenstown Airport.

Hire a car:
This is a popular option for visitors. If you are coming in a small group, as a couple or just by yourself and you want some freedom to decide where to stop along the way, you can hire a car to get to Glenorchy. There are plenty of rental car companies located both in Queenstown Airport and Queenstown CBD, so you can choose any of your preference.
