Discover the flavours of New Zealand’s mountains through an exclusive beer and food pairing experience with Steve Hewland, founder and brewer of Glenorchy Brew Co. Brewed with mineral-rich glacial water and inspired by the landscapes surrounding Glenorchy, each beer is crafted to express balance, character and a strong sense of place. Throughout the evening, Steve will guide guests through a selection of carefully matched beers and dishes, exploring how malt, hops, yeast and food interact to create memorable flavour experiences.

This exclusive experience features five thoughtfully crafted tasting plates, prepared by Headwaters Executive Chef using fresh seasonal ingredients and our garden-to-table philosophy. Together, the courses create a substantial dinner experience, perfectly matched with a selection of Glenorchy Brew Co craft beers..

Event Schedule

6:00pm – Arrival & Welcome Drink
Guests arrive at the Lodge and enjoy a welcome drink. Overview of the evening and introduction from Glenorchy Brew Co founder Steve Hewland.

6:30pm – Tasting Plate & Beer Match Begins in our Dining Room
Steve introduces the first beer pairing and shares the story behind the brewery's beginnings throughout the evening with each dish served.

9pm – Social Time
Relax by the fire, enjoy a final drink, and continue conversations with fellow guests.

10pm – Event Concludes
