1. Location, Location, Location!

The Headwaters Eco Lodge is undoubtedly the most picture perfect backdrop for your dream wedding.

Even the scenic 40 minute drive to Glenorchy from Queenstown is awe-inspiring. Everywhere you look rewards you with jaw-dropping views of plunging valleys and snow-covered peaks at the gateway of Mount Aspiring National Park.

When you arrive in Glenorchy you will be awestruck by the feel of the place. A laid-back community surrounded by magnificent mountains and an air of romance, tranquility and elegance – perfect for your big day.

2. Wedding Venue

At The Headwaters Eco Lodge one of the South Island’s artistic wonders awaits you, with upmarket design and technology alongside acres of land that have been lovingly-crafted to compliment the majestic natural landscape.

Artist designed and built function spaces such as the inviting Homestead Building offer welcoming venues for your ceremony and wedding celebrations. Heading outdoors, The Green can be sheltered with a marquee so you can enjoy the fresh air no-matter the weather, or you can choose to relax in the Scheelite Shelter making memories around a crackling open fire. Either way we have the venue for both your wedding ceremony and your wedding reception!

The Lodge can be hired on a chalet-by-chalet basis or the entire facility can be exclusively yours allowing family and friends to stay before and after the festivities!

3. Memorable Food

As one of the most memorable parts of your wedding day, you’ll want a food menu that blows people away.  Don’t worry, we have you covered. Our team of talented chefs create dazzling cuisine with a passion and dedication for local produce – much of it grown in our bountiful kitchen garden and foraged from surrounding hills and mountains. That passion is evident in the freshly harvested, artfully presented, delicious food served nightly to guests and diners.

The dining experience is enhanced with a fine selection of Central Otago and New Zealand wines and craft beers.

4. Something for Everyone

Glenorchy and neighbouring Queenstown are packed with adventure and activities  for you and your guests. You can hike, jet-boat, zipline and bungy-jump all in one day if you want!

Or for those seeking a different kind of rush the region is the perfect place to ride horses, hike or kick-back, relax and indulge in award-winning coffee, wines and gourmet food. Whatever you choose, you're sure to have the most incredible stay.

5. Give Back to Nature

Glenorchy is naturally inspiring and beautiful and The Headwaters Eco Lodge wants it to stay that way. We are committed to maintaining a healthy relationship with the natural environment and love to inspire our guests to show that sustainable can also mean luxurious.
